Message For those of us who have to park our cars for ~4 months out of the year, that dormancy could reduce the service life. I say this on the speculation that when dormant, the shaft seal could take a "set" and/or possibly dry out (on the pump side naturally) thus reducing the usable life of the WP.

I'd think that Nissan would have intended the WP to go for 120K miles before needing replacement as I think 60K is a bit on the short side. But then again, I heard through someone I know that on certain BMW's you are supposed to replace the radiator at 90K miles, how's that for a limited service life? And we think we have it bad.
